Fond du Lac Civil War Reenactment

May 19th, 2008 | by Walter |

Ok, we were sucked in by the signs and propaganda placed outside the Galloway House in Fond du Lac, WI for the Civil War Reenactment.  If you drive by, you see quite a scene and hear rifles firing.

Go inside and it’s a different story.  It’s a flea market.  There are no reenactments, nothing terribly interesting, except the candy lady.  She knows her stuff when it comes to candy-making.  That’s pretty sad, actually.

The non-event is over for this year, so be sure to not waste your money next year.  Galloway, go away.  Who cares?  Put on events that are interesting at the least at least.

As a matter of fact… no reason to visit Fond du Lac at all, really, unless of course, you like bar-hopping and people with teeth missing asking you if you have a problem.  And no… these people aren’t even part of the “reenactment”.
