Rescue an Animal Today
May 6th, 2008 | by Walter |Last week we had a kitten that had either been dumped or who knows really, crying at our door. I was at work and my wife went outside to investigate. The poor thing looked like it was one of the animals you see rescued on Animal Cops. Bones showing, ears burned, it could barely stand.
We, of course, took the kitten in and tried to give her some food, she wouldn’t eat, all she wanted was to sleep.
We called around for veterinary prices to get a quote on getting her checked out in case she had something that our other cat could pick-up. Between $300 and $400 with no payment plans. We ended up calling our local Humane Society and they were able to help us out for $90.
I’ve never been to a Human Society before this and it was just depressing.
If you or your family are looking for a pet for the household, please consider going to your local Humane Society. The animals are taken care of and are in good health. They just need someone to love them, more so than most.
